The 122nd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show February 16th and 17th, 1998 at Madison Square Garden Center, New York City
The 1998 Westminster results:
 American Kennel Club champions of all currently recognized AKC breeds (including first-time entry - 1 Canaan Dog) from 47 states plus the District of Columbia, Canada, Bermuda, Japan and South America were represented at the show. Leading the entries were 50 Dachshunds, followed by 47 Chinese Shar-Pei, 41 Australian Shepherds, 40 Pointers, 40 Mastiffs and 40 American Staffordshire Terriers. Spectators go to the show to see and learn about the 153 breeds and varieties exhibited. The club and the exhibiting dog owners take the opportunity to not only praise the virtues of their own breeds but to spread the word regarding responsible dog ownership and the wisdom of buying from a breeder.
 The Sporting Group get ready to strut their stuff for the Best In Group competition.
The Poop would like to share a few moments of the show that reflect how wonderful the dogs are and how they, too need breaks from all the excitement.
