Housebreaking: Food

What goes in, must come out...

Food
- Pick a diet that promotes small, firm stools (Iams, Eukanuba)
- Feed only the recommended amount the required number of times daily
- allow 20 minutes each meal for the dog to eat

pick up the dish after 20 minutes regardless of whether the dog ate ALL of it or NONE of it - what the dog does not eat is forfeited, do not add to its next meal

- Treats count as food
break them into tiny bits and give to the dog bit by bit - your dog's meal pellets may be used as treats sometimes

- No snacking
- No people food or table scraps
may cause loose, runny stools
