Crufts provides visitors with the most varied and interesting canine
programme that they could possibly wish for. Thrilling demonstrations,
breed judging, new special events, displays, competitions, agility, flyball
and Gundog competitions are all precursors for the renowned Crufts "Best in
Show" finale on the Sunday.
Over 350 trade stands will be in attendance to cater for all canine needs.
The hugely successful Discover Dogs area will highlight responsible dog
ownership and choice, with over 170 different breeds of dog, including many
rare breeds from the Imported Breed Register appearing for the first time.
Top experts and owners will be on hand to provide information and advice.
Celebrating its fourteenth successful year, the Kennel Club Junior
Organisation will have members on hand to promote the many benefits of
membership to young people. National Camp, competitions, workshops and
quizzes are just some of the areas that help develop members into the top
handlers and canine specialists of tomorrow.
For the first time at Crufts, The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme will
demonstrate its Bronze, Silver and Gold tests with the able assistance of
both canine stars and human television celebrities, illustrating why it has
become the largest and most popular dog training programme in the UK.
Said Kennel Club spokesperson, Caroline Kisko: "Crufts is a showcase of all
that is positive about dogs and together with Discover Dogs, epitomises
good and responsible dog ownership by highlighting three important points:
Choice, Care and Training. Each year, Crufts offers new and exciting
attractions for all dog lovers, providing the best possible opportunity to
learn more about dogs and their contribution to society".
